Jobs and more jobs: After midnight lament

Blogging

I had four blogs already. One of them almost brought me an award by regional newspaper. But when I went to Vienna, I almost completely stopped writing, probably becuase I was satisfied with my life there. I met new friends in the dormitory where I was living and I absolutely loved my job. When I came back I applied for part-time job at the radio station, and I love it, but becuase I am a trainee for the moment, I am not getting paid:(

In which category are the most work places are offered?

Today I was on the public employment office website, and guess what I have discovered? Most of the work places on disposal are offered to workers who have finished 3 years highschool. It means that they went to school for 11 years. In my case it is already 18 years.
And guess what after 200 sent applications I am again without a job, officially 1 month and 11 days, but I stayed without my last two salaries.

After midnight lament

I am back home, after 7 wonderful months in Vienna. I am in Virtual blue book for internship at the European Commission. In January I will probably write the test for another job at European Commision.

What is new? I am again unemployed, I even had 8 job interviews in 2 months. Although I consider it very bleak prospect of opportunity.

Obviously I have potential, I am trying to finish the training for a radio journalist, I am post-graduate student, speaking more or less fluently 3 foreign languages.

But in my country i can t get an employment, I am trying for more than 2 and a half years.
I cannot even get a clerical job, they don't even invite me for a interview. I heard many times that the reason could be I am over-qualified.

But I could go working as a cleaner, or in factory.

I WONDER IF THIS IS NORMAL? Or is just my bad luck of being born in 1979 in Slovenia,
where most of good jobs are taken by nephews, sons, children of bussiness partners, etc.

I am trying really hard.

Still unemployed

The government of Slovenia is bragging with the best economic results since the formation of the state. The inflation is low, within Maastricht criteria, the growth of the GDP is 7%, the registered unemployment is 69272, the lowest since 1991. Why does it seem that I live in a diffrent country, I am unemployed two years after my graduation, and so there are many my colleagues. To the extent that getting a decent work seems more or less a matter of chance or coincidence. I would be happy to perform a job for which highschool is a requirment with a salary 500 euros but so far I haven t even been invited for a job interview. I really wonder is that too much to ask.

Graduated

First of all I would like to say that I graduated two years ago. A month after I was already enrolled further at master degree at Faculty of Social Sciences. I am planning to study till I get a PHD preferably in Political Science that is my major so far. But for the past year I am rather in unplesant situation, I am looking for work but there is nothing coming my way. It is two years since I graduated and I am still unemployed. The problem is the situation is very stressful it effects everything in my life. During my student years I tried to work as a journalist, I helped a theatre to organise their performance, I worked in a bank, I also worked in a political party, at Ministry of Education and Sports, Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology. But the work experience that I have listed so far can only be regarded as kind of internships. I have no formal work experience
